Ingram
Village Hall Refurbishment
Sustainable Development
Fund

Ingram Village
Hall has been successful in accessing funding from the Northumberland
National Parks Sustainable Development Fund for structural improvements to the
hall.
In conjunction with the funding from COMMA, the funding from the Sustainable Development
Fund will pay for the installation of
-
a new floor complete with under floor
insulation
-
stripping out of wood cladding on the walls, replacement with fully
insulated plasterboard and redecoration
-
a new sustainable energy "Air to Air"
system
The work will take place between Jan -
March, consequently the hall will be closed for events during this time. These measures will contribute to making
our hall a much warmer and more inviting venue for all community activities.
The Village Hall committee are committed
to ensuring that all improvements to the hall should be as energy efficient and environmentally sustainable as
possible. We live in a magnificent open space that we wish to conserve and promote and therefore all
improvements to the hall should be in line with conservation principles.
We aim to develop conscience raising of
the importance of protecting both the environment and natural resources within and beyond our local community.
The village hall should become something for the community to be proud of, and an example to us all of energy
efficiency and conservation.
We shall be calling on the community for
help in the "destruction" work to allow the contractors to do the skilled construction work that will make such
a difference.

On Saturday 12th December, The National
Parks Sustainable Development Project Team came to Ingram to fomally hand over the cheque to the Village Hall
Committee.
The project team were very impressed
with the village hall committee's vision and commitment.
